- Back at it again last night trying to get EGS 7.2, A2410, and my A3000 to
- play together. The results from last night were much more promising, but
- still as frustrating.
-
- Amiga now has nothing in the WBStartup directory. I removed the NewMode
- screen promotion that I was using.
-
- I started Term (v4.1), TurboCalc (v3.5), and FinalWriter (v4.01) and had
- each open the A2410 from within the programs. Each opened fine on the
- A2410, and I was able to successfully enter information to both the
- spreadsheet and FinalWriter. I was even successful loading external
- files into both by using one of the buttons provided by the applications.
-
- Problems occurred whenever I tried to use the right mouse button - this
- caused the application to freeze immediately and caused a spontaneous
- reboot of the machine. I did get a GURU message about a task accessing
- information (I'll copy it down tonight and supply that tomorrow). I also
- saw the same results if I used a slider in either the spreadsheet or the
- wordprocessor.
-
- These problems occured whether I was using A2410driver20b17 or 1.14, so
- I'm pretty sure it isn't the driver.
-
- I'm frustratingly close - and appreciate all the advice I've received from
- the various folks on the net who actually have this working. If it means
- anything, I rearranged the cards in my A3000 last night so that they are
- now in the following order:
-
- extra serial port from MFC3 |
- MFC 3 | <-- Daughter board
- A2410 |
- DKB 3128 (4MB installed) |
-
- Also noticed that my A2410 is serial #00092... And it is jumpered to IRQ 2
- (someone else suggested that I look at that)
-
- Thanks again,
-
